Breeding Goals

Our breeding goal is to produce healthy dogs with no genetic defects as well as clear headed working dogs that are both confident and social. Other qualities we look for and develop include:

*strong-minded dogs with extreme drive that can be easily “switched on and off”

*dogs with strong and steady nerves with high prey drive

*agile dogs that are always “ready for action”

*determined dogs with endless willpower.

All of these qualities combined in a working dog make the animal useful for teamwork and also a pleasure to work with and train.

Genetic variation is something we believe in very strongly. We are aware that line-breeding and in-breeding has some advantages but in the long run it presents many more problems than benefits in our opinion. ‘This is fundamental, basic genetics. Inbreeding increases the expression of genetic disorders and has a negative effect on health in general. These are facts. If somebody is trying to convince you otherwise, you need to find a different mentor.’ (The Institute of Canine Biologie). We are in love with this beautiful breed which has thus far managed to keep all of the amazing attributes it started with dating back to when the breed was first introduced. A dog which is bred for work, a dog which still is a dog in every way. Not always the easiest to handle, there is no better working dog out there with the intelligence and agility of the Malinois. We will do everything we can to keep it this way!

We will endeavour to achieve our perfect vision of this special breed. We will only breed with dogs we truly believe in and who, to our knowledge, are fully healthy .
