The R-litter is planned with Avonwolf Key To Success x Chaplin Von Der Lilienwiese, it will be a breeding I will do in a 50-50 manner with Garry and Rhi (the owner of Eko). This means Eko will whelp at home (with my help if needed) and stay for the first 3-4 weeks with mum until she had enough and after that they will be with me for the imprinting period.

I’m trying my first frozen AI! Chaplin is in Austria and it is a hell of a process trying to travel there within a 12 day window, plus Wild Child Eko might not like him like with Bruce and a natural mating won’t be easy to say the least!

So I have imported semen and it will be ready for Eko’s season in the summer!

It is not an easy process after Brexit at all and rather costly but I’m such a fan of Chaplin and we do have to keep those lines crossing and not just use dogs near by! I am a great believer in outcrossing and the health that comes with it. So!

Fabienne kindly went to Vienna to take Chaps semen and it is in the process of being shipped to the UK in preparation for Eko’s next season – how exciting!
