And just like that they have flown the nest….

A very busy pick up weekend and now they are all in their new families! I think some fantastic matches have been made and I’m super excited to see how they progress. Please do keep us posted guys and we are wishing you all the very best and healthy life❤️

05-08-25

The last week with them has begun! They are down to 3 meals a day now and I have added tripe to their diet. So they are ready for all foods now, they travel like champions 💪🏻 and they are super open to humans and dogs. Lot of environments have been explored, a few nightshifts have been pulled🤭 and apart from my printer being a tw.. for the contracts I am also ready lol.

02-08-25

Another club visit with the little one! More people and dogs to meet. Forgot to take pictures….
01-08-25

So today has been eventful!

I have been called into work! I said no I have puppies but the reply was ‚bring them‘ so I thought it will be good environmentals for them! So they’re on their first nightshift! I have also chipped them all and made some individuals 😊. Bunch of stunners!!

30-07-25

Puppy packs are ready ✔️Pedigrees are here ✔️… Time is running! The little ones are a handful now!! I’m very greatful for Nyx keeping them busy and tired lol click ❤️

29-07-25

It’s not like they haven’t got shelter! But nope – they will not stay inside in the rain🤷‍♀️ so I had to get them a Brollie!

Second chicken challenge! Dosen’t look so good for everyone apart from red ❤️ click always loved him! click again

27-07-25

So I’m back – I was at a IGP seminar Friday with the awesome Laszlo Nemeth and he taught us a bit more about the undoubtable Heuwinkl System – a fab day! And then yesterday I went to see my first PSA trial!! Mind goggling for me where all these people come from I’ve never seen in the UK dog scene and now they are training to a high level!! Very interesting! (we did rename it to Crocs&Botox though🤫🤣🤣). Anyways! So kindly Bill has offered to look after the little Piranhas! I was meant to take them but I think this was the better option for all involved and they had a great time in the garden – Big thank you again Bill! – here are a few pics from Thursday when we visited Woodborough PSA club, shot by Andy.

As for today, a lovley eventfree Sunday (finally 🧘🏼‍♀️), I am defrosting some chicken wings and will give that to the pups. My Infamous chicken challenge, hated by many lol loved by a few! Very important to me as I’m assessing their possession and dominance in order to do the right picks – because that’s only around the corner now!!

The pups have been on chicken a few days now but as I’m not a big fan of chicken only I have ordered Chicken/Salmon mix. They’ve been fine on that since we’ve already normalised salmon at the beginning. Tomorrow I have lamb arriving which will be the 4th meat to get them used to.

Follow up Chicken challenge whilst I’m cleaning out their kennel and run click 💡🐔💡

24-07-25

Today we‘ve spent the afternoon/evening with my friends at Woodborough Kennels in Bath. Another two hour round trip for the little ones. Andy and Alex have GSD pups currently of only 3 days younger then the P‘s🥰. What a difference in breed click! These are top working line GSD‘s, the mother is the first PSA2 female in the UK💪🏻

Great exposure and enviromentals for my lot👊🏻 gun shots were going off (and not to starter pistol ones but the proper loud ones!) no F’s given by them!

22-07-25

Today Tuukka‘s owner Sean visited 😊

I think he likes them🤭

21-07-25

5 weeks today!
Second wormer was due, started a course today (needs 3 days in repeat). I‘m not the most popular right now but I‘ll just have to live with that right now🤭.

I‘ve had a good clean out of their kennel and run and therefore put them in a big run for it click

I‘ve tried to do some individuals for you, not as easy as it sounds!!

20-07-25

Bite Club today!

Great day has been had with lots of visitors and exposure for the pupsters💪🏻

19-07-25

Busy day at the dog club, they’ve met loads and loads of people and dogs! Another car journey and we’ve had to move the pen three times (!) first we’ve had an ant problem, then they were in the sun and then it started raining lol. So an eventful they for the pupsters!

Bill is having one of these, but I think his face gave that away 🤭

After food shenanigans click
17-07-25

They seemed too warm in the conservatory last night so I‘ve put them in the outside kennel where they can decide themselves to be in the shavings and warm or in the outside bit. They seemed to appreciate that! This morning staying out in the rain was their chosen option 🤷‍♀️. I‘ve spent quiet some time with them, getting to know their characters 🥰 an awesome bunch! You might think I‘m trying to make you jealous but rest assured it wasn’t pain free! Here is 6 minutes of me being chewed up by them🤭click

16-07-25

Lots happening!! They are now with me in Dursley 😃 they have met the gang click, been outside, been in the conservatory… The long drive was fine, nobody been sick, nobody screamed much – basically they took it all in their stride and snoozed most of it through! Great little guys!!! I have introduced beef now as the second food and that has been welcomed and demolished instantly too💪🏻. I will do at least a week of beef now before introducing the next meat. They are also wearing they’re big pups collars now, the only change in colour is Mr. Yellow now Mr. Grey (didn’t have a yellow one) and light brown is back to dark green.

Also the names were all accepted, I’ll hang on a picture and therefore the papers are on route and will be here in time for pick up – we’re on track!

14-07-25

The little rascals are doing Jenny a favour of being loud pain in the bums just so she dosen’t miss them too much🤭 click we‘re getting ready for the handover 👊🏻
12-07-25

Totally my fault for not updating enough… Jenny is sending me loads of lush pics! Just sooo busy before the storm!! Ok so the weaning is going very very well, pups are eating 3 times solids a day, going up to 4 tomorrow to wean of fully from Ida in prep for their journey next week. They look lovley and chunky!

09-07-25

So Jenny has had a couple of visits already! Usually we allow from 4 weeks but since she’s at the other end of the UK from me and we have some Scottish future homes we’ve made an exception 😊. The visits went well and so is the eating solids!! We’re all on track and my preparations run in overdrive to welcome them down here next week – exciting!🤩

06-07-25

They are three weeks tomorrow, time is going so fast!!! This means the weaning begins so Ida can relax a bit more. As always I swear by salmon being one of the best first meals possible. I‘ve had such great successes with salmon, the oils and everything makes for super strong (although stinky 🤣) pups!
Jenny has offered them some this evening and boom💥 all of them dug in💪🏻 see for yourself click
05-06-25

Look at these little troopers😍💪🏻. First wormer is on the go too, bet they‘re fuming at Jenny right now🤭

03-07-25

Ida is starting to be fed up, you can see it in her eyes🤣. It’s almost time to start the weaning- hang in there gorgeous!

I have sent off the KC papers, all the names were chosen by their future owners. Hopefully all will be accepted, I will reveal them once they have😊.

02-07-25

Lots is happening! Eyes have started to open👀. They are growing so fast and turning into dogs now, no more fruit bats🥰.

28-06-25

Some colours have changed now they needed bigger collars😊

27-06-25

Half of the pups have now cracked the 1kg mark! Others are half the weight, it’s been an uneven litter right from the start. I think it will all even out soon, sizes in the first few weeks have never had an impact on the adult- fully grown size. It’s interesting to watch! All doing well 🙌🏻

25-06-25

Been a hectic few days! I‘m working my butt off before they come to mine🤭. All is good though, weights are going up rapid now💪🏻 Ida is feeling good and is having longer breaks from them now. The little ones are getting loud apparently 🤣

22-06-25

All the weights are going up nicely and steadily 💪🏻 this litter has always been quite uneven and the current weights vary from 300g to almost 700g!!! Some were born bigger then others and some need to fight harder for their milk. Non of this will impact their size fully grown so we‘re curious to watch their journey and are happy they are all gaining daily.

21-06-25

Jenny has gotten us a treat today! Individuals🤩

20-06-25

Weights are nicley going up🥰 Jenny is doing a fabulous job with checking them daily and getting up at night to check on everyone. So much care is going into raising a litter🫶🏻. Ida is a born mama as it seems❤️. Some happy people have been informed now and the names are starting to come in as well. Not long before the craziness begins 🤩.

18-06-25

They’re going strong 💪🏻 all are drinking, although not so much weight was put on just yet. All drinking well and seeming content👌🏻 check out this cuteness overload! Click

17-06-25

PM

Not much to report but as promised, they all seem content 🥰

AM

All is well 🙌🏻 this morning everything is good, all are drinking, no more blood from Ida❤️. Will give a PM update lateron since it’s the first day, but Jenny is happy to take it from here and I‘ll start my journey back after a longer then expected and rather stressful ‚holiday‘ in the Highlands!

Day 64/63

Now then!….. So after another day of absolutely nothing happening yesterday I’ve had a sleepless night…. My gut feeling was uneasy! Ida is happily eating, walking around and sleeping like nothing is going on. If it wasn’t for her balloon 🎈 belly you’d think she’s absolutely not pregnant! And although books and internet all say it’s normal until up to day 68 I really don’t think it is! Ok today is day 63 from the second mating but still, did not feel right. I’ve never had any go over… So as always I ask my super girls Sharon from Southwest Scanning and Lisa my most treasured vet friend! Well they both were on my page with it and Jenny and myself decided to call the vet. We’ve both agreed to have them out by this evening either naturally (obviously much preferred!) or by C-section. We took her in and scanned her and the heart rates were starting to slow down so we said OUT NOW! Actually we did try to give her something to help her labour to kick in but again she got NOTHING. So we both decided to get them out now. Me and Jenny have become a fabulous team! If we were to have waited we would have lost them all by tomorrow and Ida would have been at a great risk! Waiting for the procedure to go by we went to the pub for something strong whilst we waited…. Two hours and a couple of beverages later we’ve had the great news that mum is fine and 8 pups seem to be doing ok too ❤️.

The next mission was to get them latching onto her, we are a 40 minute drive away from home but the drive made her wear off most of her anesthetic and home we slowly introduced her to them. She accepted them THANK ****! Finally I let my dogs out after being at the vets all day and mid walk Jenny rings me to rush back as Ida has started bleeding again…. back to vets!! So me and Rosie (Jenny’s daughter) have fed them, weight them and put collars on them so we can monitor their weights whilst Jenny and hubby drove back the 40 minute drive to the vets….

Now I’m sitting here with 8 ‘fairly’ content puppies – they want mama now – and have a chance to update everyone – I know you’ve all been dying for an update – we are all hoping and thinking the drama should have settled now and it should go upwards! Cross everything for the young family🙏🏻

14-05-25

Day 62/63

Another day of waiting! But again… Ida looks bigger again and happily relaxed 🤣. She’s cooking them well!!! Me and Jenny take my dogs on long beautiful beach walks and I‘m getting great tourist guides through the stunning town of Forres.

13-06-25

Day 61/63

Well no rush from Ida! She looks super comfortable, relaxed and content whilst ballooning 🎈

12-06-25

Day 60/63

We have arrived! Me and the dogs had some lovley walks and swims on the way up! Combined with a long and drunken night with a good friend in Scotland lol. Now arrived at Jenny and Chris’s we’ve been monitoring Ida closley and she definitely had her temperature drop today!! She also started straining slightly just before we went to bed so my money is on the next 24 hours! I’m camping in their yard with my little caravan and make the most of the stunning Highlands by hiking my pack – something I really miss where I am because we’re just too overpopulated!

10-06-25

Day 58/63

She has definitely grown since yesterday 🤩, we‘ll be leaving in the morning and start the long drive up to the Highlands 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

09-06-25

Day 57/63

Temperatur is by 38.3* and we are starting to monitor for the drop. I‘ll be leaving in two days for my midwife duties 🤩.

06-06-25

Day 54/63

Ida is getting tired quickly now! She’s still swimming in the sea and keeping fit but slowing down and protecting that belly❤️. Meanwhile I’m still working on festivals and currently with daddy Tuukka!

Day 52/63

The whelping box is up!!

Day 33/63

Pregnancy confirmed today🥳 all plans are made now to expect the little P‘s soon🤩

15-04-25

Second mating today so Jenny can shoot off home again. I think we got two fantastic matings done at the perfect time!!! So cross your fingers with us now for some little P’s running around in a few weeks🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

14-04-25

As expected today is perfect! Sharon tested Ida’s levels and again Tuukka’s semen and everything was bang on! So boom – first mating done 🤩

13-04-25

Today Jenny arrived with Ida at my place, she did the monster journey from Inverness!! We have met in the afternoon and tried a mating with Tuukka. Sean brought him into my garden and they had a good sniff but Ida was still grumpy! It was too early. Because of Ida’s ‘great’ timing I can’t be around tomorrow, I’m off to Ireland this evening. A journey booked long before Ida decided her timing🙈 I’m meeting up with Centrefire Malinois kennel and go to their training as well. Only 3 days but exactly the important 3 days for the mating…. It’s fine! Jenny and Ida will stay in my house so they can meet up with Sean and Tuukka easily.

So I have arranged for Jenny and Sean to meet up with my friend Sharon to help with the mating since it’s a first time for Jenny and Sean as well as Ida and Tuukka😱🤣

04-04-25🩸

I’m not being funny but blimey Ida…. your timing is so unideal I can’t believe it 🙈🤣but neeeeevermind! Ida has started her season today! Planning for the mating has taken up all of today but I think we have a plan now! Watch this space👊🏻

UPDATE

We’ve missed the window for Frankie this time… We’ve even tried with homeopathics to get her coming into heat (100% organic and safe) however she didn’t…. So I’ve worked on a Plan B!

His name is Tuukka van de Berlex-Hoeve!

We will try Frankie at a later date, at the moment I have so many bookings I can not wait for another season. I’m still line breeding on Nero just not on the KNPV side. These dogs should be easier to train and would do well in sport as well as Police. This litter is fully booked!

We will try this breeding for spring 25 and expect Ida’s season around March

Here is the plan of the first litter for next year🤩

Avonwolf Ida I will try to pair with Storm Frankie from Marrax Place and I say try because it will be a bit of a mission since he lives in France…

Anyway this is a very well thought through pairing! I’m line breeding on Xia’s super KNPV lines (I’ve been looking and looking for the past few years to get those incredible lines) and also on Nero vom Haus Mecki which has been a big part of my breeding program and I still see Nero as the ultimate Malinois!

So yes I’m all kinds of excited for this pairing!!

I’m expecting real working dogs from this combo, not so much prey junkies for sport but rather dogs for real live work such as police, search work, military. I’m expecting steady clear headed dogs with great work ethic and good off switches. Let’s see!!
