I went to see the little ones!! They are huge!! Not just large also fat lol definitely not shy of a meal Paul… Ha. We have chipped them ready to for the male to leave on the weekend approaching.

Growing up so fast! Look at them big and chunky pupsters😍 not long and I’ll be up to see them. Can not wait!!

28-10-25

The weaning has begun. They have started to nibble on solids, they climb and they come to already😍 great pups!

Ohh look at them 💕

17-10-24

Eyes are open and walking is being tried😍 click

14-10-24

The names have been accepted by the kennel club and here they are:

Avonwolf Noble for the female and

Avonwolf Neelix Treck for the male

Chosen by their future owners, I’m happy they have been accepted just like they want them 🙂

12-10-24

The first eyes have started to open! It’s the female (always one step ahead lol), they are growing very well and are getting more and more mobile. Rogue is happy to take longer breaks now as well. Paul’s vet friend popped in for a visit last night and was very impressed with the two fat guinea piglets!!

08-10-24

Update from Paul they are all doing great 😃and he is starting to hear them let out the odd yap!

06-10-24

Handover day today😩 Rogue and her two little ones are going back home to Paul. We‘ll meet later today. I‘m sure Rogue will be happy to be home 😊. We will stay in close contact and I will visit soon enough!
Here a video of this morning click.

04-10-24

KC papers sent off! Will reveal the chosen names by their owners once they’ve been accepted. Not much else to report eat sleep repeat for the pupsters atm.

03-10-24

Needs must! The female had some back dewclaws which I removed this morning. They are accidential hazards later in life and had to go! The male hasn’t got any. All good over here still, Rogue is extending her garden time to 5 minutes these days instead of her normal 2 in the last 2 days 🙂 good mama!!

The weights have gone up to 690g of the female and 810g the male. That means they both have put on a third of their body weight since birth! Great stuff, little bruisers!! It’s all right when you got a huge milkbar all for yourselfs lol. Well I’m happy to say they’ve past the first 3 critical days. I’m not worried about the little fatties in any way 🙂

02-10-24

So after lots and lots of phone calls yesterday and sorting out, stuff has been decided!

Both pups will go into a SARDA future, the female is staying with Paul, this was one of the reasons of doing this breeding in the first place, for him to have another to bring on. And the boy is going into NSARDA Kent. Since we’ve only got two and Paul is keeping a Rogue daughter himself and also Paul knows a hell of a lot more about search work and what it takes to get them solid for their future role then me, we have decided for him to have them back at his home. I can then crack on and go back to work. Gary, the male owner is happy with this as well so we are arranging a handover in the next few days.

01-10-24

All good in the hood! Little fatties are loving a huge milkbar between the two of them☺️. Rogue has settled in her pen now very well and is a fantastic mama❤️. She‘s very caring and only comes out for quick pees and food and straight back to them. Things are good👌🏻

Day 63/63

00.06

Because she’s by the book…. Right after midnight of due date! The pushing begins and it goes on and on and I have to pull him out! A big boy with 530g gosh I’m so glad he’s out and breathing! That was a bit torture for the both of us…. I’m a bit happier now but another very long wait begins…. Until 2.46 and a girl arrives with also a whopping 490g with just about the same amount of effort to get her out – me pulling – Rogue giving it her all with pushing… Not easy this was…. And it took me until 6.30am to think that was possibly it as I got her out in the garden for a pee and I’ve had a good feel. Couldn’t feel any pups in there, she’s just a bit of a big girl lol. I think me and Paul expected a few more and where generous with her food 😂.

I’m having a sleep now for a bit next to her and keep a close eye on them. She is a bit determent to have them on the couch and keeps carrying them…. Not ideal as the couch is high! She in general is a little rough with them and still wants to dig the plankets up regardless wether they’re laying on them or not…

At 1pm I decide to go and check to be sure they’re all out and message Sharon (my absolute go to for any breeding related needs click) for a quick scan. A friend for years she squeezes me in immediatly. So a 40 minute drive with the young family each way and my mind is at rest. Two it is and all is looking good in there.

Imprisoned now since she won‘t stop carrying them around!

So here we are, we can’t be disappointed as we have a healthy mum and two healthy pups! I know I will have to disappoint quite a few who wanted one of the N’s…. I will wait with that email until tomorrow once I’ve had a good chat with Paul about the next steps.

Here is our long night in very short🫢click

Day 62/63

Update at 8am since I know there are a few keen followers 🙂 so Rogue was a little unsettled last night until about 11.30pm and then fell into a deep sleep. Undisturbed all night (mind you I’m on the couch with her) she licked me good morning at 7am to go out (she’s SUCH a sweety! ❤ )This morning she’s still nesting, looking for other dens in the garden and has for the first time refused her breakfast at first. No more scuffing it down inhaling it but she then picked at it until it was gone lol. She dosen’t want to be left alone so is super needy. She’s most settled if I’m right next to her. My dogs are starting to get bored.. So let’s see what today will bring!

3pm

Literally groundhog day…. I had one lesson to give in the field again (35min drive from home) and kindly my clients stayed very flexible on time as I did mention I‘m expecting pups. We‘ve agreed on 12pm as she had eaten and settled so I left at 11 so I can exercise my dogs beforehand. At 1pm when the lesson was over I checked the camera on Rogue and again like yesterday she randsacked the livingroom again🙈 I watched her nest extremley so I dropped everything and sped home. I come home and she expects me in the garden with a howle :). I cleaned up and sat with her and within minutes she falls asleep on my lap😳. Sooooo moral of the story, she just wants me there constantly or she‘ll make ‚amends‘ to the room🤣. So tv day it is, and we wait……

8pm

I saw a contraction! I’m 100% sure I did and then shortly after she snoozed away again….

10pm

Her water broke! But still nothing more…. I’m starting to get a little worried…

Sitting in the whelping box with Rogue waiting for the N‘s to arrive I‘m reminiscing how I sat in the box with Pepper, Rogue‘s mum (Avonwolf Evil Stella) and also with Pepper‘s mum Xia and ALSO with Lucy the mum of Zulu, Rogue‘s dad😃

Day 61/63

So last night there was a few moments when I thought we’ve hit first stage of labour…. But it was false alarm and we’ve had a lovley peaceful sleep lol. This morning everything was quiet, she had a big breakfast and felt very good, so I decided to pop to the dog club for a bit. I’ve had Rogue on my camera monitor and checked on her regularly. Well she seemed a bit unsettled and ramsacked the place slightly haha all plankets were dug up and even the whelping box she turned the bedding upside down and stuff so I rushed back home. I’ve let her out and fed her again – another big meal demolished – and she’s had a good look around the garden. I think she’s looking for her puppy den, little does she know, I have already decided where ‘we’ will have them hahaa. The other give away is that she’s become a lot grumpier today, if any of the other dogs walk past her door she growls now. She is wanting more peace so a definite sign. I think it is safe to say we have (it is currently 5pm) reached the first stage of labour if not last night already. Although she’s very settled again right now this stage can last up to 48 hours, I think we have some movement in the next 24 hours but let’s see!

27-09-24

Day 60/63

Me and Rogue are still having peaceful nights sleep😊. All good so far and on track, she has a great appetite and seems comfortable👌🏻 we‘re taking that happily and I‘m spending a good amount of time sitting with her on the sofa. Thank you for my maternety leave Rogue😁.

26-09-24
Day 59/63

Rogue has settled really well with us, she seems comfortable☺️

I‘m giving her 3 meals a day now to space it out as there‘s less and less room. I‘m also adding some raspberry leaves to her meals, the help for birth. Me and Rogue sleep on the couch together until the little ones arrive😃

24-09-24

Day 57/63

The queen has arrived😍

After a long and amusing trip where I‘ve met Paul and his son Callum somewhere on route (we basically just started driving once our chores of the day were done, stuck on live location and drove towards each other🤣). It‘s a long drive Cumbria to Dursley! But all is good and Rogue is settling in❤️

I‘m feeling a lot of movements in that tummy😍

23-09-24

The whelping corner is ready for queen Rogue 🤩. The livingroom is no longer accessible for the others and is becoming the Puppy oasis😍. Many thanks to Dave and Linda for the newspaper supply over the year (old newspaper is always welcome in this household😁). We can‘t wait to welcome you tomorrow mama Rogue!

A quick nightshift as long as we can lol and then we start our maternity leave tomorrow.

21-09-24
Day 54/63

A few more days and Rogue is coming over for her maternaty leave🤩 we are excited to welcome her and the preparations are fully in swing!

16-09-24
Day 49/63

She’s starting to get tired fast 🥱and looking more and more fed up with that pregnant business. We’re not expecting a huge litter looking at her. Last two weeks now 🤩- exciting!!

12-09-24

Day 45/63

02-09-24

Pregnancy confirmed🍾🥂
29-07-25

As predicted Rogue was perfectly ready for her date today with Pilot and boom💥 we are hoping for a success now!

28-07-25

I have met up with Paul today. As it is a Sunday and the vets are shut we are using Keith as a progresterone test😁.

Keith has told us his granddaughter is ready! She will have her date with Pilot in the morning 🤩
19-07-25

Rogue has started her season 🤩 We are planning arrangements for her date with Pilot.

We have planned a breeding with Avonwolf Hurricane and Pilot Ostraryka for later on this summer.

Expected are medium to large dogs of sound and stable temperament with good work drives and ethics. I‘ve put priority on this litter on social temperaments for the specific bookings on SARDA and mountain rescue teams.
